Well ... Happy Yule!!! :-)
What a beautiful time of the year this is. It's my favorite holiday of
the year!!! All the colors, sounds, smells, TOYS :-) ..... and everyone is
in such a festive mood. It's also a time of great emotions. You'll
find all these emotions in this extra large edition of your newsletter.
From joy, to missing loved ones. Crafts, recipes, and even wonderful ways
to create your own Yule logs. Whether it's wood, or a desert for us City
dwellers. That's why this issue is going out early. It's full of
ideas to make your Yule more cheerful, and I wanted to give you as much time as
possible to work with it.
Our holiday section for this issue is expanded to give you more information, and more
crafts to share with your Coven or your
family. The staff and readers both combined to make it a very special and
very information filled newsletter. You *have* to try the Yule Log desert,
and the Yuletide Tree of Kisses. :-) A great time of the year for
chocolate lovers like us. :-)
Along with all our regulars, we are welcoming a
new addition with this issue. A Whisper in The Darkness is now joining our
newsletter on a regular basis. The author; a new friend of mine Antigone,
has such a wonderful story line, and a wonderful way with images. We can
thank Mystickally for introducing her to me, and I'm sure your going to love it
as much as I do. It's top shelf just like the rest of our regulars.
And another must read is Dream Dancers Witches Brew for The Soul. Everyone
is always looking for spells and such, so we provided the best there is to
offer.
Our regulars, Wicce's Tarot Corner, Abby, Mystic Moon, Michael and Beth
Chronicles, and Mewsings from The Alley have all out done themselves this
issue. Very good reading. And Selene has some wonderful ideas for
the Yule season this issue in Pagan Parenting. For the child, and for the
class. I don't know where she comes up with these ideas. :-)
Also in this issue you'll find three separate reviews. One by your
Editor on a wonderful Book of Shadows I was given. I can't rave enough
about that book, and highly recommend it. But you can read the
review. Also, we were chosen as Site of The Month by http://www.iamawitch.com,
so I sent our Co-Editor for the Cauldron Luna Willowsong over there to check it
out. She was blown away by her experience, and spent hours
exploring. It's a great site for just about *any* kind of reference you
want dealing with Wicca. Amazing. Finally, Mystically gives us a
slightly different slant on Silver RavenWolf's Teen Witch Kit. It's a very
well thought out review, and makes a wonderful follow-up for last issues review
by our sweet ~Rain.
And last but not least ... I think I finally figured out how to format Isha
ArrowHawk's Word Search so you can use it. <giggle> Hey, give me
time and I'll get it working. She does such a wonderful job with it, and
she's also such a dear life long friend of mine. It's what's been missing
in our issues. :-)
We were given a couple of awards since the last issue, so
I'll soon be putting up an award page. I'm kind of proud of them.
Site of The Month as I said above from iamawitch.com, and from The Phoenix
Rising Learning Circle we received an award for excellence in presenting
enjoyable and informative articles, journalism, and insights about the Pagan way
of life to the Pagan community, and the world at large. To both
organizations I give you a heartfelt thank you for the recognition. It
means so much to all of us to know that our efforts are welcomed. The
award page will be designed soon.
Now, get into this new issue. Lots to
read, almost a full week early, and lots of crafts and recipes. From the
Staff of Cauldrons and Broomsticks, we wish you a happy Yule, and hope you
spread the love in your heart for all to see. You know the world revolves
on love, and our hearts are capable of so much of it. It's needed in so
many places, by so many others.
Blessings, warmth and love ....
