Oh, I can go on and tell you all about this issue, and the holiday represented here, but that would be kind of hard. This issue spans from Lammas and Mabon all the way to Samhain. Samhain, the holiday where we communicate and honor those beyond the vale. Those who have gone beyond our earthly plane. I guess this issue is dedicated to them. And it's fitting that it's also the issue that we begin publishing after each of our personal dramas. Like the Phoenix that DreamDancer writes about; we're back, and we're back to stay!

On September 11, 2001 a group of people reached out to others in hate and anger. Many lives were lost, and many more will probably be taken in this ongoing battle. This issue is dedicated to the ones who survived, and those that didn't. To me especially, being in NYC, one person comes to mind most of all. Antigone, our wonderful staff member. Injured in this act of hate she is now recovering both mind and body, and it's going to be a long haul and is very difficult for her. Many others have the same stories, and stories of those lost. To these people, and personally to Antigone, I dedicate this issue and I dedicate the Memorial Page that will stay on our site for as long as I'm Editor/Publisher/Owner of this fine Ezine. I look forward to her being able to return to us, and let us experience her wonderful words once again.

This is the largest issue in the history of C&B. Because of it's size, it probably won't be mailed out, but the parts will eventually be put in the files section of our Yahoo web site. I will announce when that happens, and will assist anyone having problems downloading it.

For now, instead of my usual upbeat introduction to the issue that I usually give, I wipe a tear from my eye and beg that you read it. Every part. There is wonderful histories of different holiday's, recipes, crafts, and some awesome poetry.

On our new Memorial Page for September 11, 2001 you will find eye witness accounts, poetry and stories relating the pain others were forced to experience the tragedy of The World Trade Center and The Pentagon. Please, feel the pain in every word. I have. I feel the pain of a Battalion Commander in the New York Fire Department that lost his WHOLE battalion in the collapse. Five companies, one hundred brave men and women, trying to help others. I feel the pain of the loss in the New York Police Department trying to help others. MANY innocent people doing what they do best .... helping fellow human beings, and many are lost. This Samhain, let's think of their selfless effort to fellow human beings; no matter their color, sexual orientation, faith, religion or national origin.

This is what Samhain is all about. Honoring the ones who have passed over.

Blessings, warmth and love ....
